Construction Consulting
All to often people told me they wished they had asked my opinion before having plans drawn up for a project. They all seemed to say the same thing, but in different ways: An idea, or concept, felt like it was 'forced' on them. There seemed to be an empty feeling to a project. It was as if something was missing. After talking to them, I would tweak something, or have something changed to fit their style. So, what began as a flair soon began a reputation and finally has become a part of our business.
When I consult with someone, I get to see some of their personality. I can then see that person, or couple, living in a specific type, or style, of setting. Those settings range from formal, to modern, to victorian, to rustic, and everything in between.
People often ask me to put an Irish flair to the finish or, in some cases, make it totally Irish. In any event, I create a unique vision for that person - their own custom look and feel. That look includes the house and interiors and on to the landscaping.
Here's how it works.
If there is something you would like to incorporate into your life and plans, bring a picture or drawing, if possible, to our meeting. I can ask 'item specific' questions and see your vision more clearly. I won't bring anything that will influence your train of thought. (In the past, I have found a portfolio may influence my clients.) However, after an idea has been formulated, I will show you examples of the materials I envision for your project.
Believe me, this is when the creative juices really start to flow. Soon thereafter, we will have a concise plan for your architect. You will know room to room, floor to ceiling, door to street what you want and what fits you exactly in your home.
I have no vested interest in architect, builder or supplier when consulting. My only interest is to enable you with the tools to be in control of your project FROM START TO FINISH!
